Description of activity
He primarily focuses on various aspects of Semiconductor Device Modeling and Design, ranging from transistors to circuits (memory). Currently, his work involves the design and modeling of transistors, with an emphasis on fundamental physics, aimed at enhancing performance and efficiency. In the area of transistor design, he is exploring advanced technology nodes, such as complementary field-effect transistors (CFETs) with vertical and gate-all-around (GAA) structures. He is also working on new principle devices like tunneling field-effect transistors (TFETs) and material-based concepts such as ferroelectric or negative capacitance, which are in progress for production. These advancements at the device level ultimately benefit circuit integration by improving performance from the ground up.
