Amin Mahmoudzadeh Andwari is an Associate Professor in the University of Oulu, Faculty of Technology, Department of Materials and Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle and Mobile Machinery Engineering research group, and also a visiting researcher in Centre for Advanced Powertrain and Fuels Research (CAPF), Department of Mechanical Engineering, Brunel University London, UK. He has taught across all undergraduate level years, as well as on the M.Sc. courses such as Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics and Turbomachines, Machine Design, and Numerical Modelling/Simulation in Finland, UK, Malaysia, and Iran. He has supervised 3rd year undergraduate as well as M.Sc. and Ph.D. dissertations of students. His research involves development of advanced propulsion in transportation segment mainly focused on the application of Renewable/Sustainable energy resources in Low-Carbon automotive powertrains including Battery/Hybrid Electric Vehicles, advanced Low Temperature Combustion, engine exhaust Waste Heat Recovery (Organic Rankine Cycle), Electric Turbocharging/Supercharging, Thermal Management of Battery and Combustion Engine, Turbocharger Aerodynamics/Heat Transfer and Engine Downsizing For both Diesel and Gasoline engine applications. His disseminated research output involves the publication of 2 book chapters in the area of green energy and automotive exhaust emissions and over 40 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers as well as several more pending. In addition, his research effort has included 3 patents (granted or pending).
