Description of activity
Antti Isosalo received his Master of Science (Tech.) degree in Information Engineering (engineering mathematics) and Doctor of Philosophy degree in Medical Physics and Technology from the University of Oulu, Finland. In his doctoral dissertation, Isosalo studied the application of computer vision and medical image analysis in breast cancer screening examination classification and the learning of different breast tissue types from direct digital mammography and breast tomosynthesis data. He has also conducted supplementary studies in Mathematics (100 ECTS cr) and Physics (60 ECTS cr) and pedagogical studies for Subject Teachers (60 ECTS cr). His current research interests lie in in the area of Deep Learning and medical image analysis.
